What is
the IICRC?
The Institute
of Inspection, Cleaning, and Restoration Certification (IICRC) is
a non-profit certifying body for the flooring inspection, floor
covering, carpet cleaning and the specialized fabric cleaning industries.
Its scope of interest also includes the disaster restoration industry.
Organized in 1972, the IICRC currently represents 3600 Certified
Firms in 11 countries around the world. The IICRC, with participation
from the entire industry, sets standards for inspection, cleaning,
and disaster restoration.
Since its inception,
the IICRC has been a strong promoter of competencies in the all
phases of the flooring care industry through training and study.
Governed by the an elected council of the industries most knowledgeable
professionals, while working with all the major manufacturers the
IICRC continues to improve standards of care in these industries.
In New Hampshire
for example, the State does not require any licensing, certification
or registration in our field of operation. We are a “self governed”
industry. The IICRC is the most prestigious training and standards
body ever developed and continues to set the strongest standards
of operational proficiency.
Since Superior
Cleaning & Restoration is to-date only 1 of 3600 certified firms
world-wide we are extremely proud of our affiliation with the IICRC.
The training and knowledge they have provided has proven to be invaluable.
Why does any
company care about standards? The sad truth is, 99% don’t. Less
than 1% of all carpet and upholstery cleaning firms are “Certified”
by the IICRC. With such strict testing and training guidelines you
are required to be the best of the best and prove it year after
year as certification expires annually.
Being a certified
firm also requires a very high standard of insurance liability protection
and a solid verifiable customer conflict resolution policy.
The more you
know about the IICRC the more you’ll appreciate the commitment that
is required to belong to such an elite group of professionals.
Superior's board
of directors, and all employees are in concert with the goals and
standards set forth by the IICRC.
Being the best
trained and most proficient in our industry is the least we expect
from ourselves.
Translating
this training into customer value and real, tangible results is
the main goal of Superior Cleaning & Resoration and its affiliates.
Please
view the high standards in which we adhere.
